Car Show Pictures
Last month we held our annual Reflections in the Park Car Show. Even with beginning the day with overcast skies and a few rain drops here and there, the sun broke out and we ended up having a good crowd to enjoy the day. While there were not as many cars entered as last year, mainly due to the weather, the crowd of people browsing through the park was noticeably bigger than last year. As with last year, proceeds from this car show will go towards the Masonic Scholarship fund to a graduating senior at EPG.

IL CHIP
The El Paso Lodge recently had the pleasure of hosting an IL CHIP, or Illinois Child Identification Program, event at the El Paso Grade School during their annual open house. Over 65 kids were taken through the process of finger printing, photographing, video recording, and DNA sample taken.
The IL CHIP program is sponsored by the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of the State of Illinois. It is recognized in the State of Illinois as one of the premier child identification programs in the state. It provides parents with a packet of information on their children that can aid in the assistance of a lost or kidnapped child. A picture and video is made of the child and stored on a CD, then a DNA sample is taken and sealed, and an information card is filled out and all can be stored in the provided envelope in a safe place, ready to be used in emergencies.
Here are a couple of pictures of some lodge members busy working hard!

United Cerebal Palsy Fundraiser/Telethon
Posted by: admin in Charity, Fundraisers, News on February 4th, 2010
In mid-November 2009, we held our 2nd annual Chicken and Noodle Dinner to benefit the United Cerebal Palsy Lincoln Land organization, where we raised a total of $400 dollars for the organization. Just recently, we had the opportunity to present the UCP a “big check” during their annual Telethon. With the help from El Paso Lodge #246, as well as countless other individuals and organizations, the UCP raised $344,564, which was $9000 over their goal!
